Job-video service Vicancy secures European funding via CreatiFI Accelerator

Vicancy, a video service for job posting from Utrecht, has secured funding from the European fund CreatiFI. Starting off with 10K, the startup expects to receive another 40K this year and a possible 100K in 2016.

CreatiFI involves a €4.8 million fund reserved for the development of new applications with FIWARE technology for the creative industry.

Vicancy was selected as one of the 60 startups to be funded, ranging from €10k to €50k to develop a prototype, of which at least 18 will be selected for additional funding of up to €100k for commercial development and acceleration.

In addition to financial support, successful developers and entrepreneurs will be provided with technical support, living lab validation to test applications and explore markets and gateways to further funding.

Vicancy supports recruitment companies and online job boards in using social media and improving the branding of their clients by offering video job advertisements. The company was co-founded by Loet Rammelsberg.

“Our animation software gives companies the advantage of video, without the usual long delivery times and costs of production”, says Rammelsberg.
